AC/DC Part 2

Yowzers.

So I went to see AC/DC again on Friday. I still ache. I started out at about 1-ish, and went to Mr Pinto’s pub (again). From there I walked to Westminster tube station and got a tube to Wembley (stopping off at St John’s Wood (huhuhuhuhuh) for a piss). Upon arriving at the cash machine at Wembley, I was informed by my good old friend Mr Barclay that I have £18 in the bank. All well and good, I will take out £10 and buy some beverages.

No. Mr Barclay will only let me have my £18 in denominations of £20. Thank you, Mr Barclay. With this in mind, I went to a shop and bought some cans instead. Where I was told I’d have to spend a minimum of £10 to use my card. It is now around 4pm, and I am sat outside Wembley stadium on my own (having already been drinking for a few hours), with 8 cans of Stella. Eventually, the Rt. Hon. Mr Shitbags turns up (predictably late), so we drink our cans (plus a few more from the spanish guys I sold the ticket to), and go into the ground.

I’m not sure if The Answer played. If they did, we missed them anyway. McGod tried convincing me that Thin Lizzy were playing too, but that turned out to be a load of horse shit. In fact, the first band we saw were The Subways, who were absolutely fucking terrible. Nevermind – more drinking time. And then there was rock.

DC were absolutely awesome. I don’t actually remember that much of the gig, apart from I was very, very drunk, and I was talking to a lot of random people, as I usually do. Once again, I have managed to completely trash my body – bruised ribs, ankles, shoulder, etc. etc. – but it was still worth it :D

Upon leaving the stadium, I did another thing I’m quite good at. I got lost. I got lost for about an hour, in a place I have no idea about. Rachael had managed to fall asleep, so I was pretty much fucked. After an hour of being sent in the wrong direction by about 30 different people, I managed to find the tube station which I had walked past at least twice. Rach eventually woke up, and got shouted at. A lot. In the end we ended up in The Crobar (that place is fucking awesome), and got home at about 4am.

All in all, a pretty good gig – and now I have 2 months to recover before Bloodstock :D

Anyway, here are some pictures:
